Author’s Note

I wrote this story as a one-off sort of thing, mostly to blow off steam. It was July of 2015, only a month before the Hugo Awards, and I had made the mistake of repeatedly arguing with idiots. 2015 was the year that social justice reached its high water mark, especially in SF&F fandom, and I was disgusted with them both.

At a certain point, though, you just have to step back and have a good laugh. That’s what this story was for me. Internet shitlords dueling to the death in a high-fidelity virtual reality on the backs of vicious dinosaurs—it doesn’t get more awesome than that. Jeff Bezos, please take note.
